Client initiative and change implementation management system

The team assigns the work, responsibilities and resources of the approved client initiative. Separately, it checks what has already been implemented and what result it has produced.

Final initiatives, responsible individuals, dependencies, terms and KPIs are passed on in a presentation or table without a continuous process. Some recommendations are not implemented and the consultant cannot show real business impact.

How the solution works

  1. Capture an initiative selected by the client
  2. Combine owner, resources and dependencies
  3. Perform an agreed test
  4. Check the fact and result of operation
  5. Making a decision to continue, correct or suspend

Key challenges

  • Implementation of the recommendations is separated from the consultative project

Solution capabilities

Implementation order

Recommendation, client choice and funded action have separate states. The consultant only receives the contractual coordination right.

Dependencies of Action

The term is based on the required solution, team and resources. Unassigned work does not appear as executed solely on the date calendar.

Initial situation

The definition, period and source of the indicator are determined before the test. If no initial data is available, a proper comparison is shown and agreed upon.

Benefit check

A change in process is separated, capacity used and monetary cost avoided. Multiple initiatives do not count the same savings multiple times.

Decision after the test

The result is evaluated in conjunction with quality and other changes. A negative test result can justify a suspension rather than being hidden behind completing tasks.

Business context

Implementation of the recommendations is separated from the consultative project
Final initiatives, responsible individuals, dependencies, terms and KPIs are passed on in a presentation or table without a continuous process. Some recommendations are not implemented and the consultant cannot show real business impact.
The follow-up of the consultation is assessed by implementation and outcome
It is important for the client that the approved recommendation translates into responsibly executed work. Linked tasks and measurements allow to distinguish the action performed from the benefit it has given. Such review helps to decide what help is still needed and whether it is reasonable to continue a specific initiative.

The real facts of the change in action and process.
Output Data Source
The values of the initial and subsequent period are compared.

Potential impact (%)

The ranges indicate an illustrative relative change in the metric under the stated assumptions. Results depend on the starting position and actual use of the solution. Percentages for different metrics must not be added together.

Initiative in addition to ongoing next action

5–25%Decreasing

This illustrative scenario assumes that 20-50% of missed actions can be identified through task and deadline tracking. That share is assumed to fall by 25-50%. Company data is needed to verify both the addressable share and the resulting change.

Counting accepted initiatives whose agreed step is delayed without a decision on the obstacle.

Part of the timely verification of the result of initiatives

12–42%Decreasing

This illustrative scenario assumes that 30-60% of errors can be addressed through the data and rule checks described. That share is assumed to fall by 40-70%. Company data is needed to verify both the addressable share and the resulting change.

Initiatives for which the result check has not been carried out in time are divided by all initiatives for which the verification deadline has passed during the period being evaluated. A positive result is not a condition for completing the verification.

Conditional calculation scenarios. The assumptions have not been validated against client measurements.

When this solution is relevant

  • The consultants, together with the client, coordinate the implementation of the agreed changes.
  • Reports show the tasks performed, but it is unclear whether the expected performance has been achieved.

Implementation requirements

For initiative management, the client approves goals, process owners and implementation powers. The baseline and measurement period are aligned with decision makers to link the outcome assessment to actual changes made.

Further development options

  • Other initiatives followed by tried-and-tested responsibilities, baselines and non-duplicative benefit calculation.
