The potential in this sector is largely driven by the scale of operations. Orders involve individual pricing, different packaging units, promotions, batch and expiration date control, picking, and frequent product delivery.

Every additional manual check is repeated hundreds or thousands of times here. The greatest benefit comes from a seamless process where a customer order is immediately transferred with the correct price, quantity, reservation, and delivery terms.

Automotive Parts and Vehicle Trade

In automotive parts trade, the selection of the right part accounts for most of the time and errors. Product code or category alone is not enough—the part must fit a specific vehicle and its configuration.

This requires VIN data, original manufacturer codes, alternative part relationships, technical parameters, and information from multiple suppliers. An alternative product also cannot be offered solely due to similar properties. It must be approved for the specific customer and use case. A clear connection between customer requirements, permitted products, documents, and delivered batches is the foundation of the entire digital process here.

In this sector, several different trade models converge. For equipment and spare parts sales, the specific model, serial number, compatibility, and service history are important. Seasonal product demand is determined by farm size, crops grown, and work stage.

The biggest problem arises between them. Important parts of the process are still often performed manually, and employees compensate with their experience for what the systems in use don't cover.

A B2B customer portal can become an important part of the process, but its value depends on how accurately it reflects the specific industry's products, customer needs, and order fulfillment.
